For this piece, the Artist used an ancient Japenese metalsmithing technique called Mokume Gane. Mokume Gane literally means "wood grain metal" and this process has been adapted for use with Polymer Clay. Polymer Clay is a plastic material, similar to PVC, which can be sculpted to create beautiful effects.The adjustable clasp is also made of Polymer Clay to match the pendant.
